I just hope all their crews are like this one. My hat is off to Pam Lambert and all the crew who were in little Rock. We hope to see you all again soon. CA Cheater Bike, or Not I just read the Final Moto column (Issue 12, January 17) by Chris Jonnum and I am puzzled by the comments made by Roger DeCoster regarding the debut of the Yamaha YZ250F. I cannot believe that the man I have admired for so many years has blasted the bike competing in the 125cc class. DeCoster believes that the bike "will destroy the 125 class." I completely disagree with his logic. The introduction of this bike and the announcement that it will e-mailed to editor@ cyclenews.com. I am Darcy's mechanic and at no time did Don Stephenson and I "have at it" as was reported. While there was an on-track altercation between riders and an off-track argument between teams, at no time did anyone from either team fight. There was a fight between two mechanics during the same race, but neither mechanics belonged to the previously mentioned teams. On behalf of Carrollton Kawasaki, I would like to have this matter clarified as soon as possible. I read Cycle News every week and will continue to do so in the future. . But what about Michelle DiSalvo? She has been riding in the Sportster Performance Series and Supertracker Series for a number of years. She's done quite well, finishing sixth in the standings in the Sportster Series for 2000. I think she has been overlooked - unless she turned it down. I've talked to Michelle at the races and she is always friendly, signing autographs and answering questions about her race bikes. She also spins the wrenches on her bike. I know she wanted to ride the 750s and I think the factory should have at least talked to her about it. 6ordon Jennings cue I e < 0 _. n (I) en Gay/onOros Oreanq.IL n e _ s JANUARY 24, 2001 5
