already spoken with Langston afterward just to clear the air. "It's kind of hard [to take) when I was really going good like that," Fonseca said. "I stalled it, and I couldn't get it started. It's just a bad weekend. Luckily, I'm not hurt or anything. All I can do is just come back next week and try to win." Despite the starting problems, Fonseca said that he still digs the YZ250F. "I think the bike's great, but you just can't make little mistakes like those," Fonseca said. "Buckelew rode great. It's just one of those things. You just have to let the time go and try to capitalize next week." Up front, Buckelew was simply never pressed in the late going, posting average lap times in the mid 56second range en route to the win. "I had to keep the pace up," Buckelew said. "I couldn't slack off. It was pretty tough mentally to stay focused on riding good laps." Defending series champion Shae Bentley put in a few good laps en route to a fourth-place finish aboard his Pro Circuit/Kawasaki/SplitFire entry. Dostal and Pingree finished fifth and sixth respectively. 1:1II QuIcomDl SbId'U81 Sa Diege, Callfemia Results: Jan..-y 13, ZOOl 125 HEAT 1 (6 laps, 1-9 transrer): 1. Justin Buckelew (Vam); 2.
