Veteran Phil lawrence rides a Yamaha, while Kyle lewis, last year's Japanese National Champion, campaigns a Suzuki. The team got its start several years ago as a way to support the riders in its videos; some of its main sponsors are Dunlop, Pro Circuit, Wiseco and Sunstar. Interesting note: Moto XXX also has a freestyle team, consisting of Carey Hart, Mike Cinqmars and Tom Clowers, all of whom ride Hondas. Defending Eastern Regional 125cc champ Ernesto Fonseca tweaked his shoulder in the horrendous Day in the Dirt off-season crash, but manager Erik Kehoe says everything is fine now. With Pro Circuit's Western champ Nathan Ramsey switching to the east, the Eastern Region should feature some great racing between the two champs and Suzuki's Travis Pastrana. Interestingly, Kehoe says that newly signed Justin Buckelew is surprising many by tlH'ning in test-track lap times equal to or better than those of other team members. The team actually backed Grayson Goodman last year, but this year has stepped it up a notch by backing five riders and buying a semi. Adding credibility is Wyatt Seals (former mechanic for Jeff Stanton, Ryan Hughes and Jeremy McGrath), who will serve as crew chief and will wrench for Ivan Tedesco. The team will wear MSR apparel.
