Thom pson. While Bar ham set a blisterin g pace, a

h im. Mid way thro ugh the rnoto, Dirt Digger s
North Me's Casey Sherman ad vanced to filth ,
di splacing Thomp son. On the final lap, Hamel
zapped Layton . When the checkered flag finally
flew , it was Barha m out ill front, w ith Phillips
a nd Ha mel filling out the top th ree po si tions .
Layton held on lor fourt h, with Sherma n earn ing filth.

past Phillips. Owen fell back a coup le of spo ts,
ha nd ing fourth to Sherma n, with Layton ma king up for a bad start and mo ving into fifth. As
in the first moto, the top rid ers freigh t-trained
as a group arou nd the KB circui t un til they saw
the w hite flag. A d etermined Ham el motored
on lo r the win , with Barha m kee ping him honest, finis hing seco nd . Philli ps was the thi rd
rid er to takc the chec kers , with Layton adv ancing to fourth a t the finis h. Thompson rou nd ed
out the top five positions afte r a gallant last-lap
cha rge .
Barham's one-two finis hes were the best on
the night, and the win mov es him into the top
five in the series, e ven after missin g th e firs t
round. Ham el wcnt hom e wit h a ,second -place
trophy and is current ly running second in the
se ries, while Phillips ea rned the last podi um
spot bu t maintained his series lead .
