Doug ie Lampkin is finally, mercifully,
in the record books . Comi ng into the
fina l ro und, th e Brit ha d topped 16 of
18 rounds , and while he simply added
two more victories to his lis t in Italy, at
least th e co mpetition knew th ere was
n o m o re to co me - a t lea s t no t u ntil
2000.
