H jalmarso n was looking comfortable ou t fro nt as he pull ed a slight ma rgin ove r Alba ch. bu t Albach must have bt>en sizing up his riva l, as he took the lead on the thi rd lap an d ne ver looked back. The rider ,vho was on the move through the pack was .. Juan Saffon : He moved from fifth up to third in two laps. p.lssing Tro n and Chip Morton with rcla tive ease. Also moving through the pack was Bacon. whose a trocious start had left him in last place on the first lap . By lap three , however, he was fourth on the track an d second in his class. The actio n got tight by the end of the moto , wi th lapped traffic sig nificant ly slowing Hja lma rson 's pace. Saffon a nd Bacon closed up in a hu rr y, bu t ne ith er cou ld mak e a pa s ~ . Albach was long gone in the lead . Hjalmar son wa s second in the mo to and first in his class. He wa s follow ed by Saffou and Bacon. The sec ond mo te was looking good for Hjalmars on .
