"I g o t a bad start, and then I jus t didn't charge hard enough the first few laps," Varnes said . "Everybody just go t away from me . I started ge tti ng m y rh ythm after e verybody go t s p r ea d out," said Varnes. "We go t fast er as the race wen t o n, but it w as n ' t e n ough . I kind o f g o t s tu ck o n th e o u ts ide a nd wh en w e went into turn three I tried the high line. I hadn't tried it all night, so I didn't kn ow how it w as go ing to be. It ju st wasn't there, a nd a bunch of gu ys got underneath me. We just played follow th e leader for a while, but th en I go t a littl e more con fid ence in the track."
