Team Green 's Gra cyk has been moving up on the amateur charts for the pas t cou ple of yea rs, especially after his ove rall win a t last year's Kawasa ki Race Of Cha mpio ns at Englishtown, New Jersey. At Loretta Lynn's, he dominated th e Su permi ni lOScc class wi th thr ee straight moto wins. Bess ra n 1-1-1 to top Colt H u mph rey and Gracyk in the highly competitive 8Scc 04-15) Modified class, while Millsaps cru ised in the 8Scc (7-11) Stock class. Th e Kawasaki-mounted Chisholm ended up second ove rall, with Michigan's Moreland third . Hot Team Green prospec t Mike Alessi fended off the charges of 41 ot her 65cc Stock 00-11) riders, as well as several protests over whether or not his bike wa s st ock . Alessi's bike proved to be legal every single time, and the Californian claimed his second caree r Loretta Lynn's title. The st ylish and fast Alessi, who wears "2007" on th e back of his pants as a subtle hint at wh en he hopes to ride his first professi ona I su percross, was dominant in this class, winning all three motos with ease. .New Jersey's Jason Lawrence piloted a KTM to three straight runner-up finishes, whil e ew Yorker M itchell Dougherty ran 3-4-4 aboard a KX60. In th e 6Scc (7-9) Stock class, Washington .s Joshua Hill was the fastest of th e bunch, winning al! three motos ah ead of Virginia 's Zac h Osborne and No r t h Ca rolina ' s Aus t in S troupe . Stroupe w ould switch from KTM to Cobra for th e Slcc Stock (7-8) class and sco re th ree moto wins and a title of his own. He was trailed in the final r esults b y Vince Friese and Lowell Spangler. In the Sl cc Stock (4-6) class, second-generation racer Ian Trettel got the first National titl e of his young career with another three-mote sw eep. He topped Garret Toth and Blake Baggett for th e title. The younges t class of the week, also featured the mos t controversy. The Slcc Stock (4-6) Sha ft Drive class sa w th e Na tional debut of James Stewa rt' s little broth er M a lcol m , w ho won a ll th ree mo tos aboard a Yamaha PWSO. However, when officia ls took the seat and tanks off the bikes of all the top finishers after the first moto, it was discovered that the kill switch on Stewart' s bike was not connected. He was deleted from th e first-mote results, but his strong ridi ng performances in all three motos signaled that an other fast Stewart is waiting in the wings, as soon as James moves on to the motorcycle ranks. With Stewa rt out, the w in w ent to you ng Kalen Fitzpatrick, who ran 1-2-4 in three motos to ea rn the ch a m p io ns h ip . Cod y Robbins and Ja cob Renkenberger rounded ou t the top three overall. Kawasaki-mounted Jeremy Du rrett made his AMA Amateur National debut. a n excep tiona l one, w inning both th e 12Sec C Stock and Modified classes. The Texa... was followed by Ohi o's Timothy Ballentine in th e Modified cla ss a nd Michigan ' s Na te Larsen in the St ock divi sion.
