The race was run in hot , humid , partly cloudy conditions at the 2.5-mile, 12turn road course in northeast Geo rg ia. SBR wo n the race overall, and the Pirelli Hea vyweight Superbike class in front of seco nd overall, first in the Heavyweight Superstock cla ss, D&D Ra cing, from nearby Dawsonville, Geo rgia. The fun lovin g eccen t rics kn own as A rmy of Darkn ess rounded out the last ov erall p odium p ositi on a n d conquered th e Medium weight Su perb ike class in th e p rocess . Three H e a vy w e ig ht Supers tock teams - N ielsen Racing, Carlyle Racing and Sh rou ts l'owersports - crashed on consec u tive laps in turn thr ee, bringing ou t th e red flag to stop the race w it h just 10 m in u tes rem a ini n g in th e firs t ho u r.
