Wh ile the AMA has d one aw ay with the 125cc class, and rumors abo und that the 2505are not far behi nd , this pop ulari ty-gaining event a grid of 38 rid ers. Within the A FM, the For mu la Three class has grow n by roughly 50 pe rcen t in the last yea r, with last mon th's Sea rs Point eve nt see ing a grid . with a whopping 4B racers. Pole-positioned Vicky ja ckson-Bell got th e holeshot and led the first half of the first lap until a misfire on the back section of the circuit ca used her to d rop back tw o po sit ion s to thi rd in th e me re bli n k of a n eye. jackson- Bell q uick ly regained second from Ad rian Webb and began to wor k on Hawk Mazzo tta, who now held the lead . saw At the end of the first lap, jackson- Bell was surround ed by the AFM's fines t Formula Three ridersvM a zz otta was stilI lea di ng, a nd Webb, Pe ter H offman a nd Ca rlos Neves held third c through fifth, resp e tively.
