"I had a good start and stayed ou t in
fro nt the wh ole way," said Anna Cody,
the winner of the Women's Expert class
for both days of competition. "I had a
little trouble w it h Travis (Wagschall) ,
because he wa s getting so close to me.
On the last lap, I got a flat tire. Ther e
w as.a loo se , rocky uphill and lot s of
people scattered all around . 1 d idn 't
hav e any prob lem s. I made it right up. .1
was clear from dust m y fir st lap. Th e
onl y dust I sa w was coming from th e
rid ers ( lapped ."

through the finish, I hit a rock and fell
my rear tire go out, so I jus t took it easy
for another lap : ' said Wagschall, whose
bid for the overall went so u th with the
a ir in his tire . "I w as runnin g second
overall at the time and first in my class .
