Wait, and he took second by lap four. Wait appeared to be gaining on Rogers when, on lap eight, disaster struck for Wait. Exiting turn four, his Sportster spun down right in the groove. Theremaining 15 riders all avoided the fallen rider, and the red flag came out. As with every restart, there are winners and losers. The biggest winner was Richtmeyer, who jumped from seventh to second in one lap. Big losers included Wait, who made the restart only to coast to a stop in turn two of the first lap of the restart. McCoy dropped from second to ixth and, eventually, a seventhplace finish. Miller was able to put Richtmeyer away and take second, behind Rogers. Richtmeyer held off the desperate ad vances of Shaun Russell for the last podium spot. Kromroy led Martin home in fifth. They were followed by the Moroney's team of Tim Eades, Jason Fletcher and Joe Eades, who rounded out the top 10. _ Delaware State Fairgrounds Harrington, Delaware Results: May 22, 1999 (Round 3 of 22) no HEAT 1 laps; 11 riders, top three tnnsler): 1.
