Eggers rolls through Dye at Ocala Motocross By Kyle Myers OCALA, FL, APR. 11 Round six of the Sun hine State Motocross Championship Series visited the Hardrock Cycle Park for the first time this year, with 260 riders in attendance. Tim Eggers doubled up and took the "Overs" easily, as he beat the competition in the Over 30 and Over 35 division on a hot day of racing in the Aorida sUnshine. [0 the first Over 35-c1ass moto, Eggers led the 13-rider fjeld into turn one, with Jack Clark, Bruce Estrada, Mark Dye and Kevin Wilson following. Eggers then stalled his YZ400 as the pack raced by, leaving ;ggers to restart in last place. Estrada now had the point, with Dye and Wilson on his rear fender. The three front-run~ ners continued to battle for the lead as Eggers was slicing his way through the field. Dye passed Estrada for the lead on lap three as Eggers moved by Wilson into third. On the next lap, Eggers erased theOthree-second advantage of Dye and Estrada 'and flew into the lead. Eggers held on for the mota win with five seconds on Dye, who was followed by Estrada, Wilson and fifth-placed Pat Caiazzo. Eggers shot up the hill to start moto two, with Estrada, Dye, Wilson and Caiazza giving chase. Caiazzo crashed on the Waterlower jump halfway into the opening lap, moving Clark into the top five. Eggers pulled away from the field to score a much easier win than in mota one. Dye cam~ home in the runner-up spot, with Estrada, Wilson and Clark rounding Qut the top five. Eggers ",ter returned to sweep both motos of the Over 30 class, ahead of Bryan Abel, who posted a 2-2 taUy. Marcus Pedrero won the Over 25 and Open Money races. In Over 25 action, Pedrero battled with Jeff Lampe, who finished second. In the Open Money division, Pedrero won both outings to take the lion's share of the purse. Matt Bani was the top Mini rider as he scored two wins in the highly competed 80 (711) and Super Mini classes. Results P/W OIL~IN1: 1. JOtlh Campbell (Yam); 2. Taylor 1>laddcs (Yam); 3.
