GEORGE, UT, APR. 17 Tyler Stewart parlayed fast starts and solid racing into the overa.1I 250cc Junior crown at St. George Raceway, as the Yamaha hotshoe won both motos of the competitive class. Rory O'Neill blasted off the gate to start race one, towing Stewart and Bubba Theobald in his wake. Peter Sundell and Jace Kirk were also battling with the leaders. The man on the move was Mike Nelson, who battled his way into fourth by the completion of the first lap. O'Neill opened it up and threw a lead at Stewart, who was comfortably ahead of a scrap for third between Theobald and Mike Nelson. Positions at the front stayed static until late in the race, when Stewart decided to take it to the next level. He hit the big quad jump to close up on O'Neill and then stuffed him in the sweeper before the tabletop to take over ·the lead. O'Neill hung in close, and Mike Nelson charged up to make it a one-two-three blur at the finish. Theobald overcooked the final corner to gift Donald Sweitzer with fourth. O'Neill and Stewart started one-two again as the second mota got under way. This time it was Jeremy Nelson and Adam Harrison following close behind. O'Neill made a slight bobble as Stewart and Jeremy Nelson scooted past him. Rory recovered quickly and retook second place as Stewart was building a lead out front. Stewart was cruising, but the fight for second between Mike Nelson, Jeremy Nelson and O'Neill was tight. After several laps, O'Neill finally busted' free and led Jeremy Nelson and Mike Nelson across the finish line. No one was faster than Tyler Stewart, however, as he roared across the finish line for his second straight win and the overall 250cc Junior CTown. O'Neill, Mike Nelson and Mike Teichert finished the overall in second through fourth. The always fast, always interesting and usually unpred.ictable 125cc Junior division was also busting berms. In the second moto, Scott Theobald roosted home with the win over Willie Ungerman, but it was Joseph Page's third-place finish, combined with his first-moto win, that catapulted him into first overall 125cc }w\ior. Scott Theobald earned second overaU, with Joshua Thurgood and Wittie Ungerman in third and fourth. 6112-13/99 P!W srK (4-6): I. Tanner Krahenbuhl (Cob); 2. Tash Hansen (Cob); 3.
