The 125cc Junior racers leave the gate at the third round of the CMC Gold Rush Series, held at the Max Track in Piru, California. Chad Frank (222) and Tomas Ponce De Leon lead the charge. During the white-flag lap, Martinez charged through turn one in first place again, but this time, when Henning tried to'slip underneath him in turn two, he held on to the lead, and he continued to hold it ti1rough the checkered flag. After the race, Henning commented on his unbelievable passes in turn two. "We ran together this morning in the GT race," Henning said, "and 1 know that Marco likes a nice, wide line, which gives him a great drive out. But I knew that if I couJd sneak it in there, 1could hold him off for a little while." "1 was not expecting to be in the lead," Marco said on the podium, "at aU." Power Sports/DunJop-sponsored Martinez also claimed victories in the Unlimited Supersport and GTO events. Results EX GTO: 1. Marco Martinez (Kaw); 2. Gabriel Henni.ng (Suz); 3.
