eam Green got a one-two punch
out of its racers at the Tonopah
300 - round two of the Best in the
Desert Silver State Series - as
Destry Abbott partnered with Brian
Brown for the win. Abbott and Brown
completed the 300-mile even t in fi ve
hours, 16 minutes and 48 seconds, and
their Kawasaki cohort Shane Esposito
soloed to second in five hours, 22 minutes and one second. Both "teams" used
KX500s, while Honda's Johnny Campbell and Cole Marshall claimed third on
their big XR with a time of five hours, 25
minutes and 23 seconds.
Making it doubly sweet for the winning duo was the fact that it was
Abbott's first victory in a Best in the
Desert race in six years of trying. As for
Brown, it imply stretched a hot streak
that he has been on, following his win at
the AMA National Hare & Hound
Series event in Utah seven days earlier.
"I've been going good the past coup)e weeks, so hopefully r can keep it
