Casey Yarrow (92) grabs the holeshot
during the start of Sportsman race action
at the Willow Springs Super TT. Yarrow
went on to sweep the Sportsman class
over the two days of competition.
Mark Dowers rounded out the top 10 with
the Over 38 Expert win, while Marty Kennedy
won the Over 30 class for the second time this
year. Having an awesome ride, Emit Taylor
scored the overall Amateur win in 14th overall.
10 the 60ccl Occ race, DH Racers' Bobby
Garrison left his crutches behind and ignored a
broken ankle to score a comfortable win over his
teammate justin Soule. Cooper Munson claimed
third ouerall and the 80cc Amateur win. He was
followed by BOcc Novice winner Erik Hatch in
fourth.
In the Pee Wee race, Keith Adams pulled the
holeshot, followed by j.j. Brown and T~evor
Jolmson. Adams and Brown missed a comer and
johnson inherited the lead. After six laps and 45
minutes of racing, Brown took the win, foUowed
by Adams and johnson.
Taylor then completed the day with
the overall win in Big Bike Open class,
capping off the best day of his young
racing career.
Also having a career-best day was
Mike Weiland, who keeps improving
every weekend. He managed to completely dominate the Over 30 Vet
Novice class, leading every lap of both
motos to win with style.
Also notable were the performances of
the women racers. Tarrah Johnson scored
2-4 for second overall and Tamra Madden
went 4-2 for third in 12Scc Beginner competition, giving both competitors.hope
that their first overall victory against the
boys is just around the comer.
