AMA Superbik National Championship Series and round three at Willow
Springs on April 18. "1 came down with
it eight days after Phoenix," Pridmore
said. "It's a viral infection that's killed
over 100 people. I was in bed for three
days and couldn't move, then I went to
Las Vegas to do a school (Pridmore
owns Star Racing Schools). I did the
school on a Friday and I was in the
emergency room on Easter Sunday. I
had a fever and blood blisters in my ear
canals - it was horrible. I also had to
have an injection that lasted for about 35
seconds - the pain was worse than from
any fracture I've ever had. I didn't get to
train once during the break. I finally got
out to play some golf and I shot a 72. I
went out again the next day and shot a
72 again. I was getting ready to say,
"Screw Willow, ['m going to find a Nike
Tour event and try to qualify." Pridmore finished sixth in the AMA Superbike National at Willow Springs.
