The Belleville Enduro Te<>m laid out a very tight and techni al 4-mile loop that included portions of a motocross track. Perfect weather and track condition greeted 220 the Sunshine State Motocross Series, held at Motocross of Marion County. BSY-backed Tom Parsons scored two class victories on a hot Aorida day by winning all four motos in the 125cc B and 250cc B divisions. In the first 250cc B moto, Parsons led the 10rider field into turn one, with Simon Belzile, Ryan Fomango, Darryl Lind and Justin Tank following. Lind moved by Fornango on the opening lap, as Parsons quickly opened up a lead over the pack. Fomango then fell victim to Tank and Curt Comstock on lap two, When the white flag came out, Parsons had complete control of the ra e, with Belzile and Lind alone in second and third. The real battle on the race track was for fifth, between Tank and Comstock. Comstock tried many tricks but ran out of time as Tank held on for fourth at the flag. Parsons again rocketed out of the gate to start moto two, with Belzile, Tank, Comstock and Lind giving chase. Lind sailed by Comstock over the finish-line tabletop to greet the green flag as Parsons once again checked out from the field, SCOTing the easy win ahead of Belzile, Tank and Lind, Parsons later returned to whale in both 125cc B motos, but not without a figh from Ryan Lolkhuot, Tim Bantle and Augie Lieber. Due to the large turnout, the hosting club decided to run separate races. A and B riders ran first for two hours, followed by the Senior and C riders £Or an hour and a baH. Rosetto set a blistering pace on his way to the front. '1 started off about eighth and passed a lot of riders:' said Rosetta: "[ kept pushing. thinking there was some more to pass. I didn't really know where I was until they gave me the checkered flag and told me J won. r was riding a KXl25 for the first time. l think I am going to like it:' Rosetto was planning on riding the G CC race in South Carolina the very same day but could not find a traveling partner. He was very pleased with his results. John Roth was able to catch Rosetto in the tight sections but could not make a pass. "As soon as we would get out in the open Of). the motocross track, Rosetto would fly," said Roth, "He was riding a good race, BET did a great job of laying out a good, technical track:' Mike Windmann was an early leader before Rosetto made his way to the front. "I got off the line in fourth and was follow. ing for a while," sa.id Wind mann. I/Some of us lost the a.rrows and others made some mistakes, and that allowed me to gain the lead. I had some trouble getting around some lappers and ] fell in a turn and Roth got around me. I was able to tail him all the way to the end b"t I could not pass. He was riding a good race:' Afterward, a lot of racers were commenting On how well the club had handled the large turnout and how much fun the race was.
