ing in Hofmaster getting shut off and dragged down the track while his bike was stuck on Jones'. Stephenson took the win in the final Dash For Cash of the year, and Jones again took the jump-off win. Antunez was the early leader of the 125cc final, with Stephenson and Banzai Motorsports/Xtreme/Wiseco/Renthalsupported Hofmaster in tow. Stephenson bobbled on lap four and Ho£master took advantage, moving into second. Jones passed Stephenson 'next for third as the Nebraskan made yet another mistake. Antuilez began to pull away throughout the next few laps, as· Hofmaster set a good pace in second. Jones and Stephenson went at it for some time until-Jones clipped a hay bale, allowing Stephenson back into third. Antunez was long gone as the race wound down, while Ho£master was nOW getting some pressure from a hard-charging Stephen- lap, and Pederson crashed violently. Hofmaster, DeHaan, Stephenson and Buehl slithered by the downed Suzuki pilot and set sail. Jones began having rear-brake problems, and the lead pack moved by him as he was looking down at his wounded ride. Stephenson moved by Hofmaster for second. Then Buehl attacked a fading Hofmaster for third. With Antunez in total control once' again, the race was for second, and that belonged to Stephenson, who would hang on to that position to the finish. Buehl and DeHaan crossed the line in third and fourth, and Schnell would be the last rider to pass Hofmaster, who ended up sixth. "That was a little easier than I expected," Antunez said with a big grin from ear to ear. "Billy Whitley pointed out a couple of lines to me aJ:ld they seemed to help. This is a great way to finish it up." CII Doug DeHaan (Kaw); 7. Greg Schnell (Yam); 8. Chad Pederson (Suz); 9. Jim Chester (Suz); 10. Robb Flath (Yam); 11. Antunez crossed the line for his third win of the weekend and Hofmaster crossed next, holding on to .his best-ever Arenacross finish in second, just feet ahead of Stephenson. Jones and Buehl rounded out the top five. "This one feels good," Hofmaster said of his second -place ride. "It's been coming together the last few weeks. I just wish it started a little earlier. I think I finished every possible position this year except the most important one. I'm already looking forward to next year." Antunez took another holeshot and proceeded to gain some ground at the start of the final race of the year - the 250cc final. Pederson, Hofmaster and Jones followed next.
