The second mota saw Aaron Lindsay pull a surprise holeshot and lead the race from gate to flag. Jonathan Shimp finjshed second, while Marley took third despite overjumping a large step-over jump and breaking his nose. Marley's 13 topped Shimp's 3-2 and Reed's 2-S. The mini classes provided plenty of great racing during the week, and· after all was said and done, Arizona's Michael Blose reigned supreme. Blose recorded three out of four mota wins en route to victory in both the 80cc 04-16) and Supermini classes. Perhaps the most unexpected winner of the week came from the 80cc 02-13) Modified class when newcomer Jimmy Nelson shot down heavy favorite James Stewart in both motos. Stewart, however, rebounded with wins in both the 80cc Stock (12-13) and l00cc classes. One of the most successful Mini riders was young Zach Osbourne. The 8year-old son of NHRA drag racer Mark Osbourne recorded five class wins aboard hi SOcc KTM machine. Osbourne tallied a record seven mota wins, and he would have had an eighth had it not been for Cole Seely, who waited until the final mota of the. day to broadcast his abilities. He ran away with the final 65cc (6-8) Modified race. Florida's Davi Millsaps and California's Mike Alessi shared the top spot on the podium in the 80cc (7-11) classes. Millsaps owned the Stock (7-11) contest, leading every lap of each mota, while Alessi topped the Modified (7-11) class. Alessi also took another two class titles: the 60cc (9-11) Stock and Modified divisions. Pee Wee Blake Baggett made his journey from California payoff by going four for four in the 50cc (4-6) division. Baggett, however, was kept honest by AMA Loretta Lynn Champion Forrest Lane, who was never far off the pace. _ Mosler Valley USA Mosier Valley, Texas Results: March 19-21 PfW 50lJR 50 (4-8): 1.
