Events Thomas Kelly (636) heads the pack through tum one In 125cc A action, but Jim Neese (behind Kelly) took over the lead to win the class. The final Pro main event of the weekend was the 250cc Pro feature, in which Moore motored in to the lead ahead of Fletcher, Homan, Kawasaki rider Brian Mockridge, Ciunpbell and Taylor on the opening lap. For the fourth time in two days of racing. Moore opened up a huge lead and held on for the top payoff. Homan ran second but was in another heated battle with Fletcher. Corning into the final turn, Homan jammed a wheel under the South Dakotan, a move which sent the already-hurting Homan sprawling to the ground. It also allowed Fletcher to nab the number-two spot behind Moore. Homan got rolling in time to grab third, ahead of Taylor and Campbell. Saturday's amateur program showcased several impressive performances, such a the one turned in by KTMmounted Will Wallace. Wallace totally trounced the competition in the 125cc B class, handily winning the main event and finishing well ahead of Eugene Licitra and Jesse Lutz. Trailing the trio were Gentrv Cenega, Scotty McManus, and Honda-mounted James Adkisson, who filled out the top six. With 26 riders, the evening's largest class wa the 125cc C class. This forced several qualifiers as well as a last-chance qualifier before the field was trimmed to 12 for the main event. Suzuki rider Brody Baxter led the final, ahead of Mike Stenzol and Sean Light, but it was Baxter who went uncontested to the finish for the win, ahead of Stenzol, T.J. Moschetti, Nathan Barton, Cody Wright and Light, the sixth-place finisher. KTM-mounted Noah Westerhuis led the Pee Wee final, but unlike in his dominant qualifier performance, he failed to put together a successive string of laps and thereby allowed fellow KTM rider Tyler Craig to hold the top position after Westerhuis crashed. Carson Rockridge finished second, ahead of Cobra-mounted Steele Davidson, Travis Quisenberry and Honda-mounted Dylan Stone. eCrook County Fairgrounds Exposition Arena Prineville, Oregon Results: March 12-13, 1999 (Round 13 of 13) 42 Friday 125 PRO: 1.
