Neil Chisholm finished second in the 125cc ·Beginner class at the Bandito GP at Los Angeles County Raceway. Results MSTR A: I. Ron Turner (Yam), M$TR B: 1. Carl GaZllfy lishing the lead on the opening lap of the 45-minute race and holding his own all the way to the checkers for the victory. Randall Hall passed Matt Elliott for second place at the 20-minute mark and he stayed there until the finish. Elliott hung tough to finish a dose third over Brett Mountain and Kyle Jenlcins. It was not even dose in the 80cc (14-16) dass. as Chris NOTT put his Nationwide. Cycle/ Answer /Flum Racing/Rertco-backed CRSO into hyperdrive and destroyed the competition. Yamal,a-moUnted Cory Baldwin finished a distant second. but he was a good pace ahead of Sam Scanlon and Robert Oark. Mike Licitra and Chuck Kober ran out front in the early laps of the Vet Intermediate dass as Chad Nelson worked his way through traffic after a battle to hold down third. It took a little doing. but Nelson finally passed Kober for the lead at the midway point and slowly pulled away for the win:Kober held off Leo Saul for the runner-up position, with Randy Wilkins and Licitra filling out the top five. YZ4OQ-mounted Bryan Nelson went flag to flag to collect the Vet Pro payback. Frank Cestanzo and Jimmy Roberts argued over seeohd place. with Roberts prevailing. but in the end it was eIson all by himself out front for the win. Speaking of families. three generations of the Bealer family took to the LACR track. Aaron Bealer made his racing debut in the 80cc Beginner class; Aaron's dad, Rick, mixed it up with the Old-Timer Experts; and Rick's dad. Richard. a feisty 60-year-old, finished a strong Sli"'nd to Charles Howell in the Old-Timers Amateur dass on a YZ125.
