I just kept trying to go forward and not
think about what was going on behind
me. I'm friends with both Casey and
Nathan, but it didn't really matter to me
who won the championship.
"I had some spots on the track where
I was a little faster (than Lytle)," Pingree
added. "I didn't want to force a pass, so
[ just waited and wa tched and finally he
made a couple of mistakes. I was able to
get by cleanly."
