Nichols BREN1WOOD, CA, DEC. 20 The fifth annual Tommyville AHRMA an.d modern Grand Prix consisted of two 45-minute motos for each class. With overnight rain and temperatures in tl)e 40s, only the hearty chose to race. As it turned out, snow began to fall just 20 minutes after the final moto fi.nished. AHRMA riders were awarded gold, silver and bronze medals for podium finishes iri each division. Carlos Romero and Ed Flaniger Jr. garnered gold in their respective classes. Standouts in the Modern classes were Randy Medley, who took the overall in moto three, and Danny Barber, the moto-four Winner. The course was laid out well, with a steep uphill after the start, several technical up-anddown sections, and a fast back section.•Rumor in the pits was that the event will be a National AHRMA event in 1999.
