Jeff Verseput pushed Moore back to th ird pla ce, then studi ed Bate's lines for a lap before grabbing the lead himself. With a dear track in front o f him. Verseput put 5 secon d s between him and sec ond-pla ce fini sher Bate by m ota's e nd . Jaime Klein p res- sured Bate on the final lap , but went down and quickl y fell from third to a di stant 10th pl ace. Matt Simpson inherited a lonely third-place finish .
