Connelly family takes Barona MX By Homer Eubanks RAMONA, CA, ocr. 25 The Connelly famil y, young and old, went home big winners at Ba:rona Oaks M.X Raceway. But not to be overshadowed was Dustin Watson. who swept the 12See Novice division in his first 125cc race since movin g up from the 80s . With suc h a stella r performance, Watson looks as if he will be moving up to I25cc Intermed.iat e in a sho rt time. O nce Watson was out front, th e ba tt le was for second, between Eric Arn ett and Co ry Criss. Arn ett mana ged to keep Criss at ba y in th e firs t mo to, but Criss ca me back in mot o two for the second spot. Arnett go t a poor sta rt a nd ended up sixt h, a nd fou rt h ove rall, w hich pu t Pete Scully in the third overall spo t after delivering a 4-3 showing. In the Vet No vice class, Doug Connelly took hom e the gol d a fter losing the first round to Ken Lurcook. but coming back in the second moto to take an easy win, with Ron Howell seco nd . Lurcook was third , giving him St"Cond overall . How ell ha d a 4-2 day for third ove rall . Greg Meyers captured the Vet Intermedia te class wi th his 3-1 effort.
