By the midd le of the m ot o, Riddle had worked his way in to fourth; he then pa ssed M u llig a n for th ird . Now h is sights were set on second-placed Carter. Just when it loo ked as though Justus was head ed for a big wi n, he sud denly cr ashed d o w n th e s tairs te ps . He w as unhurt, but he w as now out of the lead hunt. Carter assumed the lead, bu t for only a few comers. Riddle quickly go t by him and rode off with the win. Ca rter held o n for second, fo llowed by Mu lli gan and Josh Capps.
