We caug ht the attentio n of Bruc e Labelle, who had bee n in and ou t of Form ula USA with Scott Gray , and he financ ed and d irected a racing op eration from 1993 to 1997 wi th me. Fo rmula USA was good because I coul d work on television, yet still have my op po rtunity to race. In 1996, Wes tw o od went on to work in real estate and I had to train a new crew and had mechanical problems all year long. Until you see Ll.Sr-based corporations getting invo lved in the sport again, you're probably not going to see America ns out there lea ding t he w ay - unles s m a ybe it's (John) Kocinski. Of the cu rrent American riders, I see (Aaro n) Yates as the next in line. On the othe r hand , it woul d be a real shame to see a gu y like Eric Bostrom not sta y here in America.
