Jeff Haga n came fro m be hind to ree l in Mark Foster (w ho finis hed third), but he ra n out of laps in his effort to capture the win . Hagan was mesm erizing to watch , particu larly as he rod e up on the in sid e berm o n the exi t of the Cyclone in an effort to ga in ground o n Sho rt. On the podium.. The 600cc Superbike con test was an ino rdi nately close race, with seco nd and thi rd u p in the air a ll the way to the check ered flag . Bria n Parriott cap tured second , just a few bike len gt hs behind Foste r, who took first. Randv Groves finished an extremely close thi rd . . _ Haga n took a n easy w in in 750cc Prod uctio n, lea ding from th e firs t la p. Top positions were mo stly d ecided by turn o ne , with th e nota ble exce p tio n of S haw n Re il ly.. who ca rne fro m behind to finish fourth.
