Hawk White led for a while and then fell near the start area , giv ing the lead to Tea m Gr een rider Tim Langdon . First- moto winner Shi mp fell at the start but go t u p and passed more than 20 riders to fin ish fou rth beh ind Chris Nei tzel and Mik e Co llier. Hamblin w as issued a "no sco re" for participating o n an in eligible ma ch in e and was denied his ru nner-u p posit ion. " My b ike w a s w re ck ed a f te r t h e Schoolboy ra ce, so I borrowed o ne fo r th is rac e, b ut I g uess so m eone co mplained," Hamblin sa id .
