Hawk White led for a while and then
fell near the start area , giv ing the lead to
Tea m Gr een rider Tim Langdon . Young
cha rged th ro u gh th e p a ck a n d cha llenged Langdon for the lead during the
fi na l fe w la ps bu t co u ld n't mu s ter
enoug h speed to ge t by.
" I was tr ying to m a ke th e m ove,"
Young said . "So m etimes I tried going
insi de , o the r tim es th e outsid e, bu t Tim
was rid ing good and I jus t could n't get
by."
In the end, the d ay we nt to Lang don
by way of his 2-1 finish es, which topped
Young' s 1-2 and Riley' s 4-3 finis hes.

Shimp went on to score the w in, followed by Pro Circuit rider Sean H amblin and Thompson.

in seco nd. First- moto winner Shi mp fell
at the start but go t u p and passed more
than 20 riders to fin ish fou rth beh ind

Hamblin w as issued a "no sco re" for
participating o n an in eligible ma ch in e
and was denied his ru nner-u p posit ion.
" My b ike w a s w re ck ed a f te r t h e
Schoolboy ra ce, so I borrowed o ne fo r
th is rac e, b ut I g uess so m eone co mplained," Hamblin sa id .
Eve n thou g h H amblin' s sco re was
pro test ed , he proved his worth by ru nning close to the pointpositio n all day

perfect se t of races .
