overall. Templeton decided to "go a fter
Willie" and he really cranked it on at the
start of his ride. Templeton got into trou ble over the first jump, though, and his
bike flipped in the air, ending his ride.

before," he said . " I wish I could put my
two runs together - then it would hav e
been perfect."
Petty' s 6.3892 wa s good for fourth
ov erall .0001 of a second behind Templeton.
Schreiner' s first ride was faster than
his second attempt, so he settled for 10th
place on the da y.

"We probably geared it too low for
th e cha ng ing co nd it io ns o f t he h ill, "
Large said . "It came off so hard [ could n' t
keep it straight and I got into the gra ss
before 1got it back under control."
Still, he wa s happy with his first rid e,
w hich held up for second overall.
"This is Michael's and m y firs t season out her e with out Tom Reiser hel ping us," said Large, "so we are learning
as we go."

range and Price had win nu mber four.

me out a lot, too. This yea r we are trying
to be more cons istent and it's working
so far."
