Taylor, meanwhile, ettled into sixth, followed by aughton, Woods, Anaya and Downs. Schnell tripled past Posey for second, nd Nelson had Smail breathing down tis back. Schnell continued to drive forard and zapped Myers for the lead uring the second lap. Positions continued to change back nd forth, with Smail eventually settling 'nto the lead. Then Nelson took a hard ble. "I tried to go up the inside of Smail, nd I washed out and then high-sided," elson said. "I took a footpeg in my ribs s my bike pounded me. It was tough to et up and restart the bike, but I knew I lad to and pushed on." Nelson got going again in 14th and radually fought his way back up to eventh, where he would eventually finsh. From the sixth lap on, the battle for the lead raged between Smail and chnel!. Their duel went down to the hite flag. with Sclmell actually getting y Sma if on two different occasions. mail would prevail by less than a secnd.
