James Dickman drove down from
Post Falls, Idaho, to race the Vet C clivision and got around early traffic for the
overall with a 1-2 score. David Harvey
took second with 4-1 endeavors over
Ryan Wann (5-3), Bill Collins (3-5) and
Kevin Felkins.
Larry LaFrance won the first Vet C
division with a pair of Wins over Troy
Arnold, who went 2-2. Alex Schon of
Oackamas, Oregon, put together a (4-1)
effort to win the second clivision of Vet
C riders, beating out Dereck Cole (3-2)
and Paul Hart (3-4).
Michael Young (1-2) split moto wins
with Nathan Tiearney (3-1) in the 125cc
B class (Division 1), but Young scored
bettet in the other moto to take the class
win. Tieamey lost out for second in the
first round to Carl Baker, while Baker
could only mount a 2-4 core for third.
In rather unfortunate news, racer Danny
Ornelas wa severely injured in the first
moto and remains hospitalized with
spinal injuries.
Gary Dunn landed the win in the
first of three 250cc C divisions with a
fine 1-2 on his Kawasaki, followed by
David Harvey (2-3)-and Jamey Parker
(6-1), also mounted on Kawis. Michael
Miyamura showed up for the first
round of the econd clivision of 250cc C
riders on a 125 and was promptly blackflagged. James Dickman took the win
with consistent 2-2 scores over Michael
Gorda Jr. (4-1) and Kelly Quinn (1-4).
Also demanding three separate clivisions due to a larger rider turnout was
the 125cc C class. Evan Laughridge took
the win in the first division with a 2-1 on
his RM, while Jesse Ketcham took a
close second with a 1-2 over Kurt Long,
Chris McAvoy and Adam Baca. Scott
Grosser won both motos of the second
clivision over Josh Watt (2-4) and Mark
Verhoughstrate (8-2). Tommy Jean sat
atop the third division with a (3-1), followed by Chris Dias (1-3) and Ben
Weisenberg (6-2).
Ron Rudi won the large Senior C class
with two moto wins over the consistent
Greg Muscatel (2-2) and Avery Mark (33). Randy Newton and George Stephenson II rounded out the top five overall.
Fred Vertucci made the journey all
the way out west from Kutztown, Pennsylvania, worthwhile by winning the
Senior A event over Willie Kennedy and
Robert Hansen. Lee Miller was tops in
the Senior B class, but Miller is really a
Super Senior (Over 50), and he beat out
the "kids" that included Rick Falconer
and AI McGehee.
