A torrential thunderstorm on Saturday canceled the day's Professional program, as three inches of rain fell and 70mph winds blew into town. [t was then decided to add Saturday's Pro program to Sunday's racing, giving the crew additional time to scrape layers of mud off the track. By Sunday's main events, the track had dried to perfection. The 125cc Pros were the first to test the turf. Local rider Justin Homan put his Suzuki out in front of the pack in the main event, but it was Idaho's Chaun McAlister shoving a wheel underneath him to grab the lead going into the whoop section. However, Moore quickly relegated both to second and third, followed by Dustin Lenaburg and Terry Hamness. Lenaburg reeled in McAlister to settle into second a lap later, but Moore had already moved into an insurmountable lead. Lenaburg took second over McAlister, Homan and Hamness. Moore led McAlister, Robert Holtgrew, Homan, Jamie Munson and the rest of the field in the rescheduled 250cc Pro main. Just as in Moore's previous showing, the Washington speedster quickly left the competition in his dust. McAlister was unable to reel in Moore and was doomed to stay in the numbertwo spot, while Holtgrew fell and lost positions to both Homan and Lenaburg. Moore sprinted to the finish with a foursecond lead, while McAlister, the former ational number-97 plate holder from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, netted second ahead of a dueling Homan and then Lenaburg. In the second 125cc main, Moore and McAlister were back out front, but Homan and Lenaburg put the squeeze on McAlister, who fell to fourth coming out of turn one. Jump-off winner Ryan Hagemann ran fifth. Lenaburg was hot on Moore's rear wheel for the first several la ps, bu t once again Moore was untouchable. Lenaburg held on for second again, ahead of McAlister, while Homan and Hamness closed out the top five. Kawasaki-mounted Lenaburg jumped out in front of the fourth and final main event of the day, the final 250cc Pro race. Holtgrew ran second on the opening lap, followed by Munson, Homan and Moore, who got pinched off into turn one. Moore mounted an incredible charge that saw him move from fifth to second in just a few laps. Moore caught Lenaburg at the midway point and set up an incredible battle for the firstplace payout, as Moore desperately wanted to sweep the Pro-class racing for the day. Moore overtook Lenaburg through the series of whoops, but Lenaburg quickly took the lead right back. Things stayed close until Lenaburg fell during' the heated battle, allowing Moore to hold a slim advantage to the finish line. Lenaburg netted second at the finish, while Holtgrew raised some eyebrows with his third-place finish after holding off both Homan and McAlister.
