Lord, Duncan land GFI Motocross wins By Greg Robertson P;RRlS, CA, APR. 11 Robert Lord split moto wins with Craig Koback for the Over 25 Beginner-class win, while Tyler Duncan aced both 80cc Novice races for the overall honors during GFI Racing's "Super Saturday" motocross at PerrisRaceway. Jeff Paull was quickest out of the gate in the first Over 25 Beginner moto and would run out front "for a little over a lap before CR125-mounted Lord made the pass for the lead. Paull stuck with Lord for a lap before Lord upped the pace and pulled away for the win. Koback ran third for the first half of the race before having problems and was credited with fourth, behind fellow Yamaha rider Scott Shavely. Koback returned with a vengeance to dominate the second round of racing, going wire to ire with a huge lead for the victory. Paull and Lord battled over the runner-up position for the· first couple of laps until Lord got the upper d. Lord slowly pulled away to finish in secnd place and sew up the overall with his 1-2 erformance. Koback's 4-1 topped the 2-1 of aull and 3-4 of Shavely for second overall. 80cc Novice first-round action saw Duncan ab the lead right off the start on his New Level dng/Sprocket Specialist-backed YZSO. Kelly edder ga ted second and would hold the posiion throughout the race, keeping Duncan in ·ght right up until the checkers. Chris Alekiejczyk led Kevin Breid and Brian Minter across e finish for third. Duncan nailed the second-moto start to lead edder and Aleksiejczyk. Tedder was all over uncan and made the pass for the lead with a ouple of laps completed. Duncan followed Teder for a lap before retaking the top spot at the idway point. Tedder stuck with Duncan as the wo front-runners distanced themselves from , leksiejczyk in third. Duncan used lapped trafic on the last lap to break away from Tedder to e the overall win. Tedder wound up a safe . tance ahead of Aleksiejczyk to collect the sec-nd·place trophy.
