order with what he says was an underperforming rear tire. He would run wide at turn four with 12 laps remaining, and in a very similar incident to the one where he collided with Johann Zarco in Brno, Espargaro pulled back onto the racing line only to have fellow KTM rider Miguel Oliveira there. The resultant contact sent both crashing into the gravel trap in a disaster for the home KTM brand. Alex Rins (Ecstar Suzuki) crashed out while challenging for the lead with 10 laps remain- ing, and Dovizioso, meanwhile, had taken control of the race from Miller, who was slowing on a soft front/soft rear tire choice. I want to say a big thank you to all the team members who are here and working so hard to give me the best bike possible, and also to the crew who are at home and helping me. We've been through bad moments together and this great result is for all of them." 73 ALEX MARQUEZ 13TH MOTOGP "More points from the weekend is good, but the race wasn't what we wanted," Marquez said. "In the first race I had a good feeling and we made a good start so I was able to make up some posi ons but then the red flag came out. It was a big crash between Zarco and Morbidelli, I hope everyone who fell today is okay. Whenever you see a crash like that you get very worried." VOLUME 57 ISSUE 33 AUGUST 18, 2020 P67 When you see the split-second gap that Morbidelli's machine slid through at over 150 mph, it makes it all the more amazing that no one was seriously injured or even killed.
