within the lop three. Huffman and McCormick were putting on quite an impressive show as they battled back and forth several times. Overjumping to make the pass seemed to work for Huffman, but then more momentum through sections allowed McCormick to pull off the win. Smail outlasted the under-the-weather Huffman to gather a second in the first moto. McCormick took the holeshot in the second moto, ahead of Huffman and Smail. To his credit, Huffman dug deepest to charge to the lead and hold on for the win. Smail passed McCormick and bagged the overall - his second of the day. Eric Williams, out of Central Point, Oregon, was perfect all day aboard his new Suzukis. !n the 125cc fntermedjate and 250cc !ntermemate classes, he came from behmd to run away from almost everyone. Travis Murphy from Battle Ground, Washington, naHed the holeshot on his Suzuki in the first 250cc fntermediate moto, and Tyler Kavaney out of Snohomish, Washington, started ahead of Williams. Always charging forward, Williams appeared to be working a lot less to go faster and took that style past everyone to win. Williams did prove his starts later as he captured the holeshot in his last moto and simply ran away for the win. Traci Flemming from Kelso, Washington, continued her winning in the Women's class. As the 1997 National Women's Motocross Champion, she also did well in the 12Sec Junior class, finjshing sixth out of 25. a Results 50 (4-6): 1. Stefoln WUde (KTM): 2. Tlt'Vin Tapia (KTM); 3.
