alfe Motocross Presents
he 26th ANNUAL TEXAS SERIES
ond moto before the AXO/Cycle Countrybacked rider could earn the top pay-out. Leach
gated last in moto two, picking off Several riders
each lap before he caught up to Yamaha rider
Aaron Crawford.
Crawford surely must have thought his lead
was uncatchablc. However, Leach chased down
and ultimately caught Crawford late in the moto
to set up a spectacular battle for the overall winone that ended prematurely as Crawford fell
while in the hot seat, enabling Leach to finalize
his 1-1 bll Yfor the day. Trailing Leach to the finbh following Crawford's demise were lntennediate riders jere Meeker and Michael Camby,
while Crawford charged back through the ranks
to finish second Pro ahead of third-placed Intermediate Eric Rogers.
Marc Miller-jones kept his Honda CR80 up
on two wheels long enough in the soupy conditions to continue his own personal rampage in
small-wheel action. Miller-Jones won the Supermini and BOec (12-13) classes, both coming with
1-1 performances. After his win in the BOec (1213) class, which ran combined with the BOec (911) and BOcc Beginner classes, Miller-jones
stormed back to beat Kawasaki rider Cody
Buyas in a second-moto shootout to cap off a
two<.lass decimation.
Randy Wi!'g, an ex-1970s Professional, rode
a rapid pace aboard an RM250 to beat Glynn
Higgins and Bob Leach for the top honors in the
Old-Timer (Over 4D) Money class with I-I showings.
