(Left) Gordon Waggoner (52) won both motos in Unlimited Amateur racing at the Paradise MX in Georgia after Robin James (491) crashed in the second moto: first round and then crashed in the second race. Nelson finished second in round. one and tJlen rode to victory in the second race. Wheeler finished third in both races. Ron Rum won the 250cc Novice class the hard way. He placed second. in both motos, but at the end of the day that proved good enough fo,r the overall. Jeff Hanzo was second after winning the first moto and finishing third in the second. Byron Kukla managed thind via a 3-4 ~,Ily. Corey MaComber bested the 125ee Novice class with a win in the first mota and a second in round two. Derek Chase beat MaComber in the second moto, but could only manage fourth in tJle first race; Chase's effort earned him second for the day. Third place went to Travis Fink, who tallied a 2-3 mota score. Tyler Roberts won the Occ Beginner class the hard way. Roberts came out strong in the first round, dominating the 17-rider-strong field. In moto two, he couldn't match the speed of Ryan Landstrom and had to settle for second. Landstrom had finjshed third in round one and ended up second overall. Anthony Charette put in a 2-3 effort for third. Oayton Murillo won the Pee Wee (7-8) Stock class after losing the first round to Justin Mor· gan. Morgan failed to repeat his eflort in the second round and Murillo went home with firstplace honors. Danny Gonzalez managed to eam trurd. Murillo came back in the Pee Wee Modified class to win with a 1-2 showing. The older racers - fonnerly (and more properly) titled the "Old Pharts" - have been grouped into Vet classes ti,;" year, and the Vet Novice division s1.\pported 22 riders. Jeff Hanzo mastered both motos, with his closest competition coming from Mike Aken. Aken had a 3-2 day for second overall.
