looked back. Smith gated second off the
start, followed by Wallace, Boynton and
Elliott. Boynton tangled at the top of the
mountain, which left Elliott on the
ground and Boynton still in the race.
Boynton then focused on Wallace and
used the second lap to pass for third,
but he could never catch Smith and
Reed, who had first and second dialed
in. Reed's 2-1 was good enough for the
win, while Smith used a 4-2 for second.
The 12Scc Open was just one of five
event.s that had to be divided up and
consis were run for a gate in the main.
Shawn Smith and Travis Elliott each carried a single point into the final race,
with Reed and Wallace each sharing
twos. When it came down .to the final
moto, though, Reed took the win and
the overall, followed by Wallace, Smith
and Elliott. Brad Barham rounded out
the top five overall with a 3-5.
