In the 250cc B heats, Edwards, Short and
Janssen were doing all of the Pro jumps except
one triple, but they were all thinking about it.
Edwards pulled the holeshot in the main and
maintained extraordinary line control throughout the race, keeping a charging Short behind.
From a second-row start, Janssen made his way
quickly through the pack, but could only manage fourth place behind Honda-Suzuki of Salt
Lake-backed Skyler Harris. Edwards held on for
the win, in front of Short in second.
The 125cc Open main was a runaway for
Edwards, with no serious threat even close.
However, in the 250cc Open class, Edwards had
to deal with ea.rly·race pressure from Janssen
before pulling away to his third victory of the
day.
