This year's International Six-Day Enduro in Australia will feature a new class, as the FIM has adopted a 250cc Four-Stroke division for '98. Now there will be three four-stroke classes: 250cc, 400cc and 500cc-plus. Reminder dept.: The first round of the Vanson Leathers/Team Obsolete Trans Atlantic Match Races will be run in conjunction with the Laguna Seca round of the AMA MBNA Stiperbike Series in Monterey, California, April 18-19. White Brothers is hosting a motorcycleindustry swap meet at the April 26 round of the White Brothers Four-Stroke World Championships at Glen Helen Raceway Park. AMA life member Dave Pickett, a fiveterm officer and member of the AMA D36 board of directors, is running for the state assembly in Northern California's Fifth District, covering the Sacramento area. But how fast can he type? Sport Rider magazine editor Kent Kunitsugu became the first journalist to launch a street-legal production motorcycle through the quarter mile in less than 10 seconds. Road Racing World 125cc Grand Prix-class championship points will be awarded. A second Women and Motorcycling National Conference has been scheduled for the year 2000, according to the AMA.
