Its engine, chassis and sus pension have all been mod ified to turn horsepower into even bett er acceleration and power when you need it. The port timing and shape are modified . It has a redesigned flaHoppiston complemented by a new Power Jet carburetor. And the ignition timing has been refined for optimum combustion. The result? Power that's insta ntly accessible whether accelerating out of corners or pulling hard dow n a straightaway. This year the RM250's slick-shifting transmission is slicker still. A refined clutch increases durability, And beefed-up transmission components make it more rugged than ever. But better engine performa nce is only ha lf the story. The RM250 features thoroughly refined front and rear sus pension sys tems. The conventional, twin chamber cartridge-type forks - already renowned as the most responsive units on the track - are lighter with red uced friction. The rear sus pension features a new swinga rm and linkage, and a larger-diameter shock piston.
