Ho rto n ba rel y edged out FMF Honda's Brock Sellards for the history-making third-place finish after the tw o collid ed together wi th just three turns left to go in th e race. With th e t r ac k cl e ar b eh ind th e tw o Ca rmi chael had lapped and relapped everyone else on the track before taking the checkered flag - the third-place troph y was decid ed by who cou ld get up and running first, Fittingly, it was Horton, who had held the spo t for mu ch of the race un til Sellard s went for a con tact pass on the last lap .
