Ho we ver, on lap se ven, Mark Foster suddenly appeared as a cha llenge to Kuni tsugu lor third. Roun ding tum fou r, Foster showed a wheel to Kunitsu gu , who su ddenly realized his hold on third was in jeopa rdy. Kunitsu gu tw isted the throt tle, but was und e r steady p ressu re fro m Fos te r fo r th e remainin g two laps. At the line, despite Foster's best efforts to use the dralt to catch Kunitsu gu, it was Sorenson with the win, lollowed by Pleifer in seco nd and Kunits ugu in third.
