Its eng ine, chassis and suspension have all been modified to turn horsepower into even better acceleration and power when you need it. The port timing and sha pe are modified. It has a redesigned flat-top piston complemented by a new Power Jet carburetor. And the ignitio n timing has been refined for optimum combus tion. The result? Power that's instantly accessible whether accelerating out of corners or pulling hard down a straigh taway. This year the RM250's slick-shifting tra nsm ission is slicker still. A refined clutch increases d urability. And beefed-u p transm ission components make it more rugged than ever. But better engine performance is only half the story. The RM250features thoroughly refined front and rear suspension systems. The conventiona l, twin chambe r cartridge-type forks - already renowned as the most respo nsive units on the track - are lighter with reduced friction. The rear suspension features a new swingarm and linkage, and a larger-diameter shock piston.
