Springer never looked back, using lappers as
block ers to keep Bebeck at bay aU the- way to the
finish line. As the top two were d ueling. Pike
quietly wor ked his wa y up to Bebec k' s rea r
wh eel. On the final l"1p, Pike wa s all over Bebeck
bu t was unable to gt't by.

Gilmore, who looped out over a dou ble jum p in
moto one. Springe r was in the zone an d looked

Espa rz a. The n , o n lap tw o, Sp r inger m ad e a
d ean, aggr~sive pass on the ins ide of a tu rn to
blow by Rigd on for the lead . Springer then pu t
his YZ on cruise control and check ed out to tak e
the-win a nd the overall victory.

second th ro ugh fifth spots, wit h YZ pilots
Scheck and Pierce con tes ting the fourth position .
Th~ tw o picked up the pa ce an d worked their
way around Rigdon to claim th ird a nd fourth,

relega ting Rigdon to fifth . Bebeck found so me
late-moto energy, distan cing himseU from Pierce
an d cha rging to the rear wheel of Esparza in sec·
ond . On the last lap , Bebeck paSSt'd Esparza over
the tabletop jump, but then bobb led out of th e
tu rn , all owing Esparza to reclaim second .
Bebt'ck reco u ped quickl y and put inteno;e pTe5sure on Esparza through the whoop secti on. In
the v~ la~t tu~ Bebt-ck pulled out all the stops
to steal second from Espana at the checkers by a
wheel.
