Sheak steadily ap plied the
pressure until he found his way
arou nd Krat z for fifth. He then
set his sights on Wallace. Kratz was now
sixth, followed by Lorusso in seventh. A
lap later, Sheek mad e his move on Wallace for the four spot.
While this was happening, Canadian
rid er jean -Sebastian Roy was chargi ng
through the pack, passing riders quickly. In just a few laps, Roy passed Lorusso, Carsten and Kratz, movin g him into
sixth. Two laps later, Roy passed Walla ce fo r th e fifth spo t. Hughes tried
valian tly to hold Emig at bay bu t, on the
last lap, Emig , lik e a true cha m p io n,
mad e a pass in the swi tchback section of
the track that moved him int o the lead
to win the moto,
" l go t off the ga te goo d and had
some nice lines in the beginning. I ran
ou t of tear-offs lat er in the race and
started to get some arm pump. I think
this hu rt me'a little," Hugh es said.
